There does appear to be times when what underlies
is unable to surface freely, for discomfort within
while feeling stunned it surely slows my tiring feet.

Pressing on, determination to let my aching be free
surely knowing that mind is filled, overflowing
dregs of winter have snapped harsh behind my heel.

Taking this from inside, conveying through words
scarce are those delicate pictures of happiness
totally inappropriate, as I lay them out in neat lines.

Remembering how I came here all alone and naked
following a vision that looked so easily caught
letting go now, will allow me my moment of peace.
