great that you post this again, I felt that this extraordinary piece did not receive the acclaim that it should have over the boards you posted.The first set of lyrics gets the reader really warmed up and I love the stanza... young and old, proud

For me this is filled with passion and hurt adding ingrediants to make a perfect piece of writing. Not only do you feel this when writing (as I am sure you do) but the reader too feels this and therefore you have completed the master degree art of poetry. I am humbled before you that you honoured my request, it is great to see my name shining there beside a great artist...and I thank you deeply my friend.
Yes the name Bono!!! That was my Childhood/teenage/early twenty something nickname, I hated it at first but it soon grew on me, I was teased because of my (then)spikey hair, leather trousers and HIGH boots...I was a punk and outrageous at times and I had the "Bono whaile" when I was singing in a group (1984). I am a BIG u2 fan and have followed them since I was a kid way back 1980 and I have been hooked ever since, that is how I became Bono!!!LOL..funny you mention "Walk on" that for me is my favourite song on the CD by far..very emotional and about Amnestys work and dedicated to Aung San Suu Kyi..a brilliant song and donīt worry if you cry like a moron (lol)that is what Bono wants you to do when he writes and sings.
