Modern Day Working Society >>by Peter Low

Times there at work, so hard to concentrate
There’s egos so thick, they’re hard to penetrate
Why people act, the ways that they do
Are they afraid that we find out the truth

Like ‘puppets on strings’, they’re plenty not few
And some do kiss ass, oh wow whoop-dee-doo
They bounce here & there, and come by the hoardes
I’d say they’re more tied, to thick bungee cords

Some may read this, and might take a fit
I write what I see, and don’t give a shit
And others who read this, and do think it’s funny
‘Cause what our society, is obsessed with is money

Obsession with money, what have we learned
So we get our pay cheques, what’s the long term
Our purpose in life, we’ve put on the shelves
And think none of others, but just of ourselves

I’ve seen my share, of people on strike
Adults no less, have you seen the likes?
This work world is stylish, and loves to just ramble
For the next generation, we set this example?

The workplace is stressed, and it can be merrier
If we can break, the communication barrier
Management is, from what I have read
Is what it is, expensive overhead

To improve the workplace, start with communication
And eliminate all needless, and harsh confrontation
There’s much more to say, but I will now end
‘Til the next time we meet, and talk here my friend

End
