The Easter Bunny & Jesus

I boil the eggs and let them cool,
then draw and write my name.
I paint them different colors,
not one of them the same.

I set my basket out,
await for him to come,
to fill it up with candy,
but most of all some gum.

The Easter Bunny hides some eggs,
he hides them in my yard,
he puts the eggs everywhere,
the search is really hard.

It's time for me to go to bed,
I can see a full moon.
I put carrots out for him,
the bunny will come soon.

I wake up in the morning,
run down stairs to look,
my mother sits there reading,
about Jesus in a book.

She tells me the story about Easter,
how Jesus died on the cross for me.
He loves me very much,
and wants to set my sins free.

So remember Jesus on Easter,
he's the one who died for you.
He's the real meaning behind this,
maybe the Easter Bunny too.
