Where DO we draw the line
When tensions do arise
And voices soon get louder
To each other we despise

It happens in this modern day
To get overly upset
The friendships that we strived for
How soon we will forget

Hatred rears its ugly head
In every walk of life
Many a friendship have been killed
When hatred wields the knife

Jealousy is another source
Of hatred here today
We slander one another
Of what we do and what we say

Anger is a vicious word
One letter short of danger
If directed at your loved ones
They will become but strangers

We're angry at our parents
Our brothers and our sisters
Tempers flare and tears do flow
Like blood from open blisters

We're angry in the workplace
Oh yes we are indeed
The egos all around us
Are lavishing in greed

The resulting pain and suffering
The sadness that we feel
Like a knife that cuts into the heart
A hurt that just won't heal

It's time to close with one thought
When tensions rise next time
Keep that one thought in your heart
"Where DO we draw the line"
