First day with rebuilt machine - nice to see you all again.

Small, bone thin ball of fur;
Sides heave in the labour of breath.
Last visits made to secret cosy gaps
Where energy and strength
No longer suffice
For warm soft burrowing….

The box is empty now
The corridor longer with every step
And the door mercifully further away.
Only the telling remains
And small tear stained faces.
