{Highlander, here's one we wrote together but for the life of me, I can't remember who wrote which lines...they just mesh together}


Ancient Wings

We understand
there are realms
above and below;
faces long lost
in everything we see.

Pen that breaks
to bleed on open
sea.

Embracing arms
find their way
across distant
lines.

In sleep,
reality holds the hand
of destiny, our sun,
our deepening history;
our everlove simplicity.

Climb up ancient wings,
wax illusions shatter,
if that is your will.
These twenty six leather bindings
will keep us together.

Set down easy on eyes;
reflect the moon's
wishes, wrap this season
in pure vision.

Those fractured dream faces
meld, perfect whole
pieces, fragments of our
loving journey complete,
above and below
the eyes of everything.
