She is cute from the photos I've seen on Jess' site. It's so nice to have a baby like that!
Things are good here in Ohio. Athens is charming, and I am loving it even more--I am feeling very content here.
I have 6 weeks left until my due date, so baby Joey could be here any time. I feel spoiled with Joe home for the summer, we are getting lots of fun projects done. Our garden has been fun, and we spend a lot of time outside. Tomorrow is "Boogie on the Bricks", in uptown Athens with live music and such--it will be fun to check out.
Everywhere I go I am getting the look, you know, the "look at that pregnant woman! She must be due any day." I know because of the look AND the comments strangers make to me. This doesn't make me feel wierd, it makes me feel special. I know some women who are bothered by it, but I like it. I think that in our culture, people feel like pregnant ladies are public property--and it is mostly a good thing, it adds to a sense of community that has been slipping away.
Anyway...projects include: painting a dresser white for the baby room, assembling a canopy for shade in the backyard, painting our bedroom (which is currently pink from the previous owner...and the pink has grown on me and Joe too...), potty training Ruby, and probably going to see the latest Harry Potter movie.
What is everyone else up to? C'mon you guys! Time to post!
