I have to add my ditto to what everyone has said. I keep thinking that I've gotten past that, that I've "grown up" but then it lays me flat. I always remember a talk Louise Plummer gave at a books for young readers conference when she said something to the effect of people always seem to think that I've got things together and I'm writing all the time, the truth of the matter is I spend a lot of the time with my head under my pillow...I guess you all have just lost a lot of respect for me. I don't think she lost any respect...she just made it real at least for me. I think some of it also depends on how much is going on. I think some of the trial of the last days has to do with the intensity and frequency of personal trials as much as it has to do with the major earth impactful things like earthquakes and hurricanes and such. I also am listening at this moment to Eric Carle's The Mixed up Cameleon. Like it I always wish to be what I'm not and where I'm not etc, etc. And then when reality settles in I guess I do just wish I was me where I am. Of course it does often take a new morning to get me to that point. :)
