We love the Sandra Boyton books too. When Wade and I were dating he gave me a whole set of them for christmas and I'd never heard of them. My personal favorite is Moo, Baa, La, La, La for the ending....it's quiet now what do you say? Britt says "Ma!"

I also like the Sheep in Jeep books. I haven't seen one for a long time, but I really like them. I do have a lot of children's books. In fact we have a room that is a dedicated library with 6 and a half book shelves in it. Then 3 bookshelves in the dining room. When we moved back over here my mother-in-law told us we needed to get rid of some of our books. I was shocked and looked at Wade in stunned silence. His response was an emphatic No! I married the right guy. :) I started collecting them in ernest after a children's lit class. Combine that with the BYU bookstore's amazing sales there was no hope for me! :) I'm trying to diversify my collection a little and get more expository titles. Good ones are hard to find though. I really like Russel Freedman her wrote the Lincoln Photobiography and I just got another one he wrote on the bill of rights. He is a little biased but not as bad as some. One that I hadn't mentioned before is a series that I grew up with called the power tunes. They're different themes: Enthusiasm, integrity, sportsmanship that focus on a famous person such as Florence Nightengale, Jim Thorpe, Thomas Edison... Anyway I got my mom to give the set and we keep it by our bed and Britt only gets to read them in the morning or when we're hanging out on our bed. He just studies the pictures. He won't let me read them for very long, but it's kind of fun. Anyway, sorry I think I'm a kid lit nerd fighter. :)
