Jolly Flat Friends,
I'm slowly emerging from election fog. Our referendum on vouchers failed but it was a good effort and we got almost 200,000 total votes, which in a normal off-year election would have been more than enough to win. But the other side just overwhelmed us with turnout. Anyway, I'm glad it's over and I can get back to normal life - sleeping, eating, etc. :)

So I've missed some things on the message board and just want to say congratulations on all the baby news!! My goodness. How wonderful - Emily and Laurel and Chiska. So exciting. I'm so happy for you.

Kiersten, thanks for posting your concerts - I haven't been able to come to one yet but I will soon!

I don't have a lot of news to report on my end. Still dealing with some random post-divorce stuff - glad that time is passing. A friend and I have started a book club, both to have an excuse to read and also to try and make more friends! I feel like I have a lot of friends but none of them live nearby (like all of you!). Anyway, one of my goals has been to find new girlfriends and this bookclub plus my new singles ward are a good opportunity to do that.

So here's a random story for you: I've been staying with my 14 year old sister Michelle this week while my parents are out of town. She's a very capable, self sufficient 14 year old but I've been driving her to school, to lessons, getting dinner, etc. So Monday morning my sister Allison who is at BYU calls to tell me she thinks I'm neglecting Michelle and need to spend more time with her. Huh????? What does she want me to do? Quit my job for a week and go to school with her? And if she thinks I'm doing such a bad job, maybe she should drive up and take care of Michelle herself. Geez. Sisters!!!

I hope you all are doing well. What are your Thanksgiving plans?
