So, the blind date finally happened tonight. It got postponed twice--once because he had a family thing and the night he suggested for a redo, *I* had a family thing, and once because we were both sick. So finally, tonight, we met each other.

First impression, not bad. Looking, that is. Because as we have learned, I am shallow. Heehee! (Thanks, Elisa, for your comments on that, by the way. I feel way better about the whole thing, really!) And very gentlemanly. He opened every door for me, car and building. I don't like waiting in the car for the door to be opened, I feel really uncomfortable. But I let him because he wanted to. Really nice!

We went to his brother's high school musical review. Oh, gosh. Okay, I'm all for supporting family. That's sweet. And he said he and all his siblings have always been really close. (He's the oldest, and this brother was the youngest.) But I tell you what. Wow. I haven't been to a high school show in a while. Wow.

But this isn't about that. This is about the date as a whole. Afterwards, we got some ice cream. The whole time, except during the show when you aren't supposed to talk, we made conversation. We had about a half hour in the car each way, plus the time with ice cream. So we learned about each other. He's got a history degree and is a little over halfway done with law school. Served a mission in Jamaica, speaks French, enjoys music and theater, is actively LDS. There were a couple of times when I was worried we would run out of things to say, but we managed to keep the Getting To Know You talk running the whole time, which was pretty nice.

When he brought me home, he walked me to the door and gave me a hug. That's so cute, I think. Anyway, overall, it was a pretty good time and he was a really nice guy. I dunno if he liked it. If he asks me out again I'll go, but who knows if he will.

So that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
