I found another area where they could get me an appointment the next week--that's more like it! It's with the Surgeons so I think it will be more similar to what we dealt with in Denver. The down side is now Britt has RSV (for those that don't know this is a respiratory virus that attacks the lungs and can destroy the mechanism that allows you to cough and clear out your lungs. The first week is the worst, but it lasts 21 days in the system. Britt was pretty miserable last week, but seems to be doing better and he still has good oxygen saturation in his blood so we think he's out of the deep woods. Now we get to deal with a nasty cough and keeping away from other kids so we don't share) so I don't feel good about taking him down there just yet. They were nice enough to reschedule me for April 1st at my request. It is true that the obnoxious demanding parent gets taken care of and this whole experience is pushing me to be one. I just hate the thought.
