Hi, i'm alive. Sorry for the absence but it looks like i'm not the only one. :) I'm guilty of work busy-ness and girls camp last week (still recovering from that) and then I got a new laptop two months ago and didn't bookmark the jolly flat page on my new computer until TODAY so I should be a more frequent visitor now.

This heat has been awful! I'm ready for some slightly cooler temperatures. But I'm still not ready for winter . . . not quite yet.

We haven't had any thrilling vacations recently. Just lots of work and more home improvment projects. I finally painted my putrid purple bathroom a more neutral color - yeah!!! It took so many coats of paint to cover it up! We still aren't able to use the shower in there yet because we have to fix the window in the shower that had wood casing around it (brilliant to put wood in a shower) and it's all rotted and moldy so we're replacing it with tile but that's going to be a little while. Then last Sunday night as I was sinfully doing a load of laundry, my washing machine hose came disconnected from the wall and flooded my basement. Yes, 2 inches of water everywhere. Lots of fun. Luckily we discovered it in time to get most of the furniture/electronics out of the way. We had to call some men in our ward to help since Ryan can't lift anything and I told them that this was my punishment for doing laundry on Sunday. Anyway, we had to have Utah Disaster Kleenup come rip up the carpet and pad and get those big industrial size fans blowing to dry out the floors and walls. At first we didn't know if we wanted to file an insurance claim and have our premium go up but when we added up the costs of repair and new carpet it was definitely cheaper to file the claim. So I've been dealing with that this past week.

So everyone needs to rejoin the Jolly Flat social club and let us know what's going on in your lives. Remember we're the fan club to cheer you on, lift your spirits and celebrate with you when things are good.

Hope you all are well. Love you!
