Why don't you get this guy alone and say, "hey, is it just me, or do you also see that it is totally obvious that our roommates are being obnoxious and trying to set us up on a date?"
Now, that could be really awkward. ;-)
BUT--then you could plan a sneak attack on your roommates. You'd have to write a script. It could go any number of ways: you ask him out, and he flat out says no, or yes. He flat out says (during one of these espisodes) "why are you trying so hard to set us up?" in which you reply, "Yeah, I'd never go out with (John Doe) for a million years because (insert silly reason here)." To which all your roommates' jaws drop. Or, you go sit next to him on the couch, and you both face each other, in breathy tones say, "Oh, John!" "Oh Kiersten!" and then place your hands over your lips and fake make-out (or, don't place your hands over your lips).
But, please, if you do any of those things, or anything similar, give us a detailed report!
