How on earth could a person dress up as the golden snitch?? Please do share. I'm quite intrigued.

By the way, buying a house is the pits. We found a house Thursday night that we liked but wanted to think about. We saw it again Friday and were told that the owners had received one offer but it was so low that they weren't even considering it. We thought about the home over the weekend and decided we wanted to make an offer so this morning at 7:30 I called my agent. She called the listing agent who said that there was another offer that she would be presenting to the owners at noon today. So we started scrambling to put together our offer in time to get it over to the listing agent so she could have both offers to present to the owners. Well, then my agent called the listing agent back again to check on something and the listing agent says "oh, woops, the owner just signed the offer acceptance letter this morning" so now the house is under contract and we can't counter offer. CRAP! Bad news, especially on a Monday morning. And I know you should never get really attached to a house because you always need to be willing to walk away if the deal isn't good, etc, etc, but I had really started to like this one. And it would have looked so cute with Emily's painting suggestions. :) There is still a chance that the current offer could fall through if the people making the offer don't meet certain deadlines for inspections, etc, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. Oh well, we'll just keep looking!
