I've never had split pea soup, but it always makes me think of this Saturday Night Live sketch from 1975 where they're making fun of The Exorcist. (We have a Best Of video from that year.) Split pea soup gets served, but not eaten, and I think possibly tossed all over the room. (It's been a while since I've watched it.) Anyway, random memory from me.

Nothing elseo going on. Still hate my online class. Three weeks...three weeks...I can make it! Still no classes to take in the fall. Honestly. There's NO literature classes. And only ONE writing class, which I've taken. I just keep wondering if this is a sign that I'm supposed to drop out? I mean, what the heck?!

Still going to rehearsals for The Sound of Music. My mom hasn't been in a community theater show for so long, she keeps expecting the chorus of nuns to sound like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It's driving her nuts that we're not incredibly amazing, but I think we're doing pretty darn well for what we are. Hopefully she'll come around, or else I think she'll go crazy by the end of the run! We open August something or other. August 3? That sounds right. I dunno. I'll let you all know when it's closer, so if anyone who's local or will be around or whatever wants to come, you can. I might have a ton of free tickets too, but I'm not sure. I'll let you know on that too, if anyone's interested.

Jess, sorry about the closing hassle. And good luck to Dave on the bar exam! When's he taking it? What books did you decide on for your AP class? Was Emily Dickinson as crazy as Sylvia Plath? Or Ted Hughes? I read bios of them for a poetry class last year. Man, some people are messed up.

Nothing fantastically exciting going on, though. Just hot. My poor sister is miserable---eight months pregnant in 110 degree weather. But I'm excited that I'm gonna have a niece! Wohoo! I get to buy frilly dresses!! :)
