Em--you win the prize today for making me laugh OUT LOUD with your sample responses to the "pregancy question." And it's been a long, frustrating day--so THANK YOU!! Those are hilarious.

I really am excited to have children someday but now is not the right time. I do have fun thinking about it. :)

By the way, did I tell you this story already?? I can't remember . . . well, I'll be quick in case I did. About a month ago in our ward priesthood class they were discussing the topic of raising children and came to the issue of God's commandment to multiply and replenish the earth. Apparently one of the guys raised his hand and made the comment that any couple who marries and puts off having children for ANY reason is under condemnation. Well, you can imagine that created a bit of a stir, and my husband, being the outspoken person that he is, decided to correct this bit of FALSE DOCTRINE and remind this man that recent prophets have been very clear in their statements that it is solely a decision between the husband, wife, and the Lord. And that church leaders have NO BUSINESS telling couples what they should and should not do with regard to children (and their sex lives, for that matter). Ryan tells me it was quite a heated debate with the "kidless" men on one side and "non-kidless" men on the other. These social dynamics in the church are so interesting--especially when it comes to these issues.

I will try to think of more creative responses to the pregnancy question. In the meantime, I'll keep chuckling about your's. :)
