This church has made it is way down through time from Creation. In that the plan of redemption was in the mind of the Creator from the beginning of time. The church was purchased at Calvary by blood of Jesus Christ our redeemer. When none was found worthy,He was found worthy to pay the price. The Church was birth by the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost when three thousand souls were saved.

This assembly was added to that number on January 19, 1997 “Except the LORD build the house,they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. (Psalm 127:1)

It was twenty five years ago on January 19, 1977 a small group of men and women led by the spirit of God came together to seek God’s will. They continued steadfast from house to house and breaking of bread as the Lord led.

The first prayer meeting was held in the home Elder and Missionary Stewart in Richmond Hill, Ontario. As the gathering began to increase, the homes became too small to accommodate every one. Recognizing the true working of Holy Spirit they were led to launch out into deep and commence services as a church under the leadership of Elder E.L. Stewart with the assistance of Missionary Eva Williams.

In the same year 1977, they found accommodation at 31 Scarlet Road, Toronto, Ontario and held services three days a week.

On February 20, 1978, the assembly received its Seal and Corporation By-laws from the Government to be a recognized religious assembly.

Due to circumstances beyond control, the assembly had to secure another place of worship. On December 23, 1979 a portion of 115 Simpson Avenue Church building Toronto, Ontario became the new place of worship.

On November 1, 1991 , The Lord Jesus Christ extended his mercies once again and allowed us to relocate at 96 highview Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.

The Blessings continued to flow with saving of souls and of those receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost despite the trials and testing of enemy. The urgency to secure a permanent place of worship was inevitable.

Thanks be to God November 26, 1993 at approximately 12 Noon, the trustees’ of the True Church of Jesus Christ sat in the lawyer’s office and signed the finals papers to take over the premises of 250 Warden Avenue, as our new place of worship.

On February 5, 1994 with praise and thanksgiving to our Lord, the members began to prepare our new location for worship and Sunday February 6th. The following months were very busy as we prepared the worship center for the Dedication Service in June ‘1994

On May 16, 2004 , The Lord Jesus Christ extended his mercies once again and allowed us to relocate over again to back 96 highview Avenue, Toronto,Ontario.

We do not know what the future holds, but we have learned that “When the Lord gets ready we got to move” We know that God holds the future,and we’re come this far by faith. God has blessed us in every way. We are grateful to him and we give Him all glory and all the honour all the praise that is due to most holy Name Jesus Christ.
