Effect:
The Magician borrows a jacket from a spectator and tells the audience he is going to try to levitate. He covers his legs with the jacket so only his shoes are showing and levitates about 6 inches off the floor.

Preparation:
Purchase two small but powerfull earth magnets. Stick one of these on the inside of each shoe with sticky tape so they attract. make sure they are comfortable. Make sure one of your shoes is lose so you can slip your foot in and out easily.

Method:
Borrow a jacket (or use your own) and put it in front of your legs but keep your shoes showing. While the audience cannot see your legs secretly slip your foot out of the loose shoe and rest it behind you. Now when you go up on tiptoes on the foot out of the shoe your other foot will rise at the same time with the empty shoe together. After a few seconds lower yourself back down and put your foot back in your shoe.
then immedialty walk forward showing no wires or anything.

this can be a good effect just get the preformance down pat.
