Well... the first episode of it came out in Shounen Magazine #25, although I didn't know what the heck was going on because it looked like it was jumping into the middle of something. (Wow, I actually got in on something from chapter 1 for the first time in my life!)

Anyway, Tsubasa is basically a huge CLAMP crossover series. It's starting out with all the characters from Card Captor Sakura, and apparently a bunch more series are going to come in later...

and that's both cheap (\200ish for a phonebook-size manga) and brand new (going to be a long time before there's enough of it for a US company even to consider picking up)...

Other than that, if you want DVDs in particular -- granted all the new stuff is getting snapped up instantly, but there's a LOT from the 20th century that hasn't been picked up and most likely won't be (my estimate is 3-5 years old=possible, 5-10 years old=unlikely, over 10 years old=excuse me while I fall on the floor laughing).

There are a lot of really old classics from the Rose of Versailles/early mecha generation that are just never going to make it over because most of the resources are going into picking up new series...
