I felt it was in some ways better than the first and in some ways worse. The attempts at the nonlinear storytelling were...interesting but overall confusing. I guess the lesson is, don't summarize parts of the movie that appeared in the PS2 game.

I'm not certain about getting old quick, but they did go on for far too long. Especially pointless scenes like Neo fighting the Smiths.

On the upside it didn't feature 40 minutes of exposition in the middle of the movie like the first one did.

Our theory is that the 'real' world is also a simulation. The 'Matrix' is a simulation of that simulation. This neatly explains why the setting is stupid and makes no sense.

There was also the beginning. Who was that punk kid that Neo saved and why was he even in the movie? His role was meaningless. Snip, snip.

Nice action scenes however. Inconsistant editting (too much in some places, not enough in others).
