Haven't seen the rest of them due to having been out of town last weekend and deposited the goods on VHS instead of computer, but:

This is about where I'm at with translating the manga for MangaProject. Kisa (the girl) and Hiro (the boy) used to be friends before Kisa got her life turned into living hell.
Hiro had a crush on her. Unfortunately, he made the mistake of mentioning that to Akito. So our ever-charming Akito beat the $#!% out of her.
Not unreasonably, Hiro concluded from this that if he wanted Kisa not to end up hospitalized for a good chunk of the rest of her life, he'd better stay away from her. Unfortunately, Kisa didn't know why Akito had beat her up OR why Hiro was now avoiding her...
Shortly after that, her classmates all started shunning her too, leading into the point where she was so traumatized she couldn't even talk.
Tooru's the one who coaxed her back out of that, and Hiro, who's still liked Kisa the whole time, is caught between (a) hating himself for being too young to be able to stand up to Akito without getting the $#!^ beat out of both Hiro and Kisa and (b) hating Tooru for having done what he couldn't do because he was trapped and (c) hating the world because he's a miserable brat who doesn't even like himself, let alone anything else on the planet, except Kisa...
well, that's the nutshell version anyway. ^_^
