- Loos family in Bohemia -- Kim Loos Shutway, 11:04:24 07/04/08 Fri
Hi,
I've been searching for my Loos family for many years. My grandfather was born in Libusin, Bohemia in 1901. His given name was Vaclav and, when about 4 years old, was brought to America by his parents - Vaclav Loos and Maria Ruzicka Loos.
I know that my greatgrandfather Vaclav Loos had brothers - Frank, Anton, and Joseph.
I also know that sometime in the early 1900s during Prohibition, the family moved back to Bohemia for a time.
I've been desperatly trying to find anything on my family. My dad is going to be 80 years old this year and I'd really like to be able to tell him something about his family.
Thanks so much,
Kim

Stefan

- Family Loos-Loszmann? -- Agnes Loszmann, 05:15:57 02/07/06 Tue
Dear Sir/Madam!
I would like to know more about my family name and that is why I searched on the Internet, where I have found this site.
In Hungary, there are a few Loszmanns, who are mainly relatives. We know, that the family was moved to Hungary from Austria at the end of the 18th century.
I can help if someone does a research work from abroad and I greet all the Loszmanns of the world.

- Christian Gottleib Loos, St. Louis Mo. 1870-1900's -- Gail Holzhausen, 10:13:25 03/22/04 Mon
I am looking for information on a great grand uncle, Christian Gottleib Loos. He was born in Germany in 1857 and immigrated to USA in 1870. He settled in St. Louis Mo., married and had one daughter named Rose Loos. His wife died and he married my great aunt, Emilie Hoell. They had a daughter who died in infancy. Christian was a bartender and in 1900 lived on South Jefferson, STL. He and Emilie parted ways and she eventually died in Alabama. I don't know what happened to him or to his daughter, Rose. Rose witnessed my grandmother's wedding (Lydia Hoell to Jim O'Malley)
