Author: Dee
Rating: PG

Summary: Ethan and Theresa dance under the stars.
It’s Theresa and Whitney’s last few days in Harmony and an old unexpected friend of Theresa’s shows up, putting a damper on Ethan’s plans with her.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters from “Passions” Soap Opera.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ringggggg! Ringggggg!

Theresa rolled over in Ethan's arms on the beach and reached passed him to turn off the alarm on her
portable clock radio. It was still quite dark but she knew the sun would rise soon.

She looked at him and smiled at the fact that he was still sound asleep. She couldn't believe they had
danced on the beach last night. It was so magical. She had become very fond of Ethan. She had treated
him so bad when they first met, but she knew it was because of Steven. He had hurt her so bad and she
never thought she would find love again so fast.

"I want to tell you I love you but I'm afraid." She whispered to a sleeping Ethan.

"You are such a wonderful man. I believe that all of my dreams would be fulfilled if you loved me back.
But that's not possible. You are Ethan Crane. Heir to the Crane Dynasty. What could you possibly see in a
country bumpkin like me?"

Ethan sighed and stirred, pulling Theresa closer to him. She felt so comfortable in his arms. She snuggled
her head on his chest and waited for the sun to rise.

Ethan had a sweet smile on his face. He was dreaming of Theresa and how he would tell her how much he
loved her and wanted to be with her.

**********************
"Ethan what is it you wanted to tell me?"

Ethan took Theresa in his arms as they danced to a seductive beat on the radio.

"I wanted to tell you how happy I've been these last two months, and how you are responsible for these
feelings."

Theresa gave him a sweet smile.

"Anyway, I wanted you to know that these feelings are not just temporary. They are strong and real. From
the first day I met you I knew you were something special. I just hope you feel the same way."

"Oh Ethan, I do, I do feel the same way. At first I thought you were just like other guys. Your typical rich
guy who thinks that he's every girls dream man."

"No, Terri, I don't feel that way about you at all. My feelings for you are as true as they come. I can't
believe I fell so hard. You are a dream come true for me. You're beautiful inside and out. You're strong
and confident. You're sophisticated and humorous. I knew that there were women out there with these
kinds of qualities, but I never knew I would meet one. Terri, I just hope I don't scare you when I tell you
this."

"Tell me what Ethan?"

"I love you. I love you with my whole heart. I have never felt this way about anyone else. And I couldn't
wait another day without letting you know."

"Oh Ethan, I love you too. I love you with all my being."

Ethan leaned down towards her and took her lips in a passionate kiss. It was wonderful. He had told her
and she felt the same way. He was the happiest man on earth.

The kiss they shared was so surreal and so emotional.

***********************

When he snapped out of his dream he discovered that Theresa's lips indeed was on his. She had began
kissing him in order to wake him for the sun's rising.

Ethan rolled over on top of her and continued the kiss. He wanted to take her right then and there and
show her how much he cared for her, but this was no dream. He didn't know how she truly felt about him
and he didn't want to scare her.

After he pulled back from her lips he stared down at her. She was so beautiful, so sweet. He knew he loved
the woman under him with all his heart.

"Good morning Crane." Theresa said sweetly.

Ethan looked around him.

"Is it morning already? It's still dark."

"I know. The sun's coming up and I didn't want you to miss it."

"No, I don't want to miss it whisper good morning."

Theresa smiled at him as he rolled off of her petite body.

"This was really nice Terri. I enjoyed being with you last night."

"I enjoyed being with you too Ethan. I'm just sad this sweet romance will end soon. Back to school I go."

"Yeah, I know you can't wait to get back."

"Are you kidding? This was the best summer I've had in a long time. When Whitney and I graduated from
high school, we took three years off to see the world. It was splendid. We filled up on world education
before we started college. And with her being such a big tennis star made it all the more exciting."

"Well I know you can't wait to finish."

"No, I really can't wait to finish now. I'm anxious to start my Fashion Business. Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald is
going to take the world by storm."

"I believe you because you already took me by storm."

Theresa looked in Ethan's eyes and leaned close to him and placed her lips against his. She kissed him
with every fiber of her being. They lay there on the beach kissing one another like there was no tomorrow.
They hadn't even notice when the sun came up.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next day Ethan showed up at the Russell’s with two pair of roller blades.

After Whitney let him in, Theresa came running down the stairs.

Her hair was pulled back in a ponytail. She had on a light blue tank top with blue jean shorts, socks and
gym shoes.

"Hi Ethan, what are the roller blades for?"

"One pair is for me, and the other is for you my dear."

"Oh no, you're not getting me in those."

"Why not? Don't you skate?"

"Of course I skate. It's just I haven't been in them in a while." She said with a hesitant voice.

"Well, it's just like riding a bike, you never forget how."

"You don't have any bikes hiding behind your back do you?" She said peeking behind him.

"No silly. Only skates. Skates that are awaiting your beautiful feet."

"You think I have beautiful feet?" She said blushing.

Ethan walked up close to her, laying the blades beside them, and put his arms around her.

"I think all of you is beautiful, inside and out."

Ethan leaned close to her, and brushed his lips against her cheek.

She smiled up at him and gave a dazy stare into his eyes, while he stared back.

"O.K. you two, knock it off." Whitney said coming in between them.

"If you are going skating, you better get going."

Ethan picked up the roller blades, grabbed Theresa's hand and left for
the pier.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“You know I use to be a pro at this.” Theresa said shaking as she stood.

“Sure you were.” Ethan said laughing.

“Oh you just wait Crane. You’ll see. When I get use to it and catch my
balance I’ll race you.”

“That is too funny Terri. You race me? Do you know I am the champion of
roller skating?”

“Yeah we’ll see Mr. Crane. We shall definitely see.”

Ethan took off down the wharf with his blades burning. He looked back at
Theresa as she was still trying to keep her balance.

“What’s the problem Terri? Can’t get the hang of it.” He said laughing.

Theresa took off and fell right on her bottom.

“Damn skates.” She cursed to herself.

She was struggling to stand to her feet, and was embarrassed as the
people around her began laughing.

She was so engrossed in trying to stand that she didn’t see the tall and
very handsome man standing in front of her.

“Do you need some help?” He asked her reaching out his hand to her.

Theresa looked up and was very surprise at who was standing before
her.

“Noah? Noah Bennett? I don’t believe it. What are you doing in town.”
She said grabbing his hand as he lifted her to her feet.

“Hey Terri. It is so good to see you. I’m home on business. I’ll be here for
three days.”

“Wow I can’t believe you’re here. ‘Mister I struck it rich with just one lottery ticket.” She said laughing.

“Yeah and when I made billions, I asked you to marry me but you were so wrapped up in, what’s your
boyfriend’s name again?”

“Oh Steven.” Theresa said flinching.

“Yeah that’s right. You are so in love with him that you would never consider giving me the time of day.”

“Actually Noah, Steven and I aren’t together anymore.”

“Are you kidding? What happened? I thought you two were destined for marriage.”

“Things didn’t work out between us, and it’s all for the best. He eventually showed his true colors and our
relationship went right down the toilet just like his personality.”

“Wow! Such harsh words from the girl who couldn’t live without the jerk.”

“Yeah well, it’s over now and you know my motto right?”
“Yeah, good riddance to bad rubbish.”

“Right!”

“Well maybe this is fates way of saying that Mr. Right is standing in front of you.” He said grabbing her
hand.

“Noah there’s something you should know.”

“No Terri, I’m not listening. I’m not asking you to marry me. All I want is a companion for dinner tomorrow
night. So how about it? Will you join me for dinner?”

“Of course I will. Whitney and I go back to school this weekend, and I would like to take some fun filled
memories back with me.”

“Good, then it’s a date.” Noah said smiling.
Just at that moment, Ethan rolled up to where Noah and Theresa were standing.

“Hey Terri, what happened? You couldn’t keep up.” He said not really noticing Noah standing there.

“That’s all right Crane. You just wait and see. Wait until I get my balance.” Theresa said still trying not to shake.

“Crane? Is it Ethan Crane of Crane Industries.” Noah said letting go of Theresa’s hand.

“Yes, but its just Ethan Crane. I don’t work for the family.” Ethan said noticing that Theresa and this stranger were standing there holding hands.

“Have we met?”

“Oh Ethan this is one of my dearest friends, Noah Bennett.”

“Hopefully we can change the status from friendship.” Noah said winking at Theresa, before he reached out his hand to Ethan.

“It’s nice to meet you Mr. Crane.”

“You too Mr. Bennett.” Ethan said rather formally.

“Umm Ethan, Noah is in town for a couple of days on business.”

“Oh, well it’s nice to meet you Mr. Bennett.”

“Please call me Noah. Mr. Bennett is my father.” He said smiling.

Ethan gave an unsettled smirk and turned to Theresa.

“Well Terri shall we?”

“Oh sure.” She said giving Ethan a strange look.

“Well Noah, it was nice seeing you and I look forward to our date tomorrow night.”

A sharp pain shot through Ethan’s entire body at the thought of Theresa going out with this pretty boy.

“Good, because I can’t wait. I’ll pick you up at seven. So until then.” And he leaned down and softly brushed his lips against Theresa’s cheek, making her blush.

“O.K.” She said dreamily giving him a sweet smile.

A little ways down the wharf Theresa noticed that Ethan was rather quiet.

“Ethan is it something bothering you? You’re mighty quiet.”

“No not really. Just surprised that you are going out on a date with Mr. Bennett when you knew I made plans for us for the rest of the week.”

“Date? I wouldn’t call it a date.”

“That’s exactly what you called it a few minutes ago.”

“Well that must of come out wrong. Noah is an old friend. And he just wanted us to do some catching up. That’s all.”

“Well it sure looks like a date to me. Anytime there is dancing and dinner and wine, that’s a date.”

“Why Ethan Crane, I know you’re not jealous.”

“Who me? Jealous? I don’t think so. Ethan Crane doesn’t do jealous.”

“Sure he doesn’t.” And Theresa took off leaving Ethan in her dust.

“Come back here you!” Ethan called after her, but Theresa had indeed found her balance and was zooming down the pier.
