Numbly she herded Medusa away from her haunches and resumed her bitter reverie.
While Medusa was his sworn rival, she was still his twin, and, at moments like these, a fellow sufferer. Stubborn though the youngster was, even he had learned that his attitude was no match for Brushy's, so he sighed resignedly. Apollo tugged briefly on Medusa's mane and wandered away, tummy grumbling pitifully.
