5.Gary is a buyer for a firm of builders. He needs to obtain some bricks for an important job. He is looking in a catalogue from a manufacture,Rebricks Ltd and sees an advertisement which reads:
'London-stock bricks at a special price.Order now and get a 10% discount!'
The price is very attractive and Gary decides to place an order for 20000 bricks immediately, at a cost of £950 ,using the order form at the end of the catalogue. Aweek later,he receives a reply from the manufacturer, stating that they have run out of the bricks on special offer, due to unprecedented demand. They offer to make some more bricks of the same types within a week, but state that the 10% discount applied to existing stock only and that the price of materials has risen, so that the new price for the order will be "1250.
Advice Gary of his rights with respect to the following:
a)Intention to create legal relations(5marks)
b)Offer and acceptance(10marks)
c)Consideration(5marks)
d)Whether he can insist on delivery of the brinks at the original price?(5marks)
