Though she didn't want to admit it, something inside of her mind was picking up the nervousness, and the simple fact that she knew it was coming from him was beginning to unnerve HER too...when she spoke, her voice was colder than ice.

"I've been alone all my life...it doesn't matter...and I knew I'd die alone as well...I mean, if I wasn't dying now, I would've been dying in 50 years or so, still a virgin, having lived a boring, unfulfilling life..."

She pulled away from Shade and stumbled back a few feet, seeming to fold within herself, cowering away from the truth. Tears shone on her cheeks, irridescent in the gloom of the place around them.

"Look, Shadow, or whoever you are...I...I don't care, whether I live or die...though death scares me, I don't care...and I have nothing to live for."
