Beth remembered this board game that Larry gave us back in the 70's. I still don't remember it but we bought one on eBay and played it tonight and it's a pretty good game. Jody's daughter Steph played with me, Mom, Joe, & Beth and she seemed to like it alot. It's definitely our kind of game...cynicism is rampant as well as all the lying, cheating and so on. Do any of the rest of you remember it?

HAPPY NEW YEAR TOO! Especially to everyone I won't get to see on New Years - Mike, Edie, Gretchen, & Jacob. Also John, Jonette, Jessica, Haley, Will, & Ashley. Christmas turned out to be really nice this year but would have been even better if we'd had the rest of the family too. I hope your day was as nice. May 2005 be much better than it's predecessor!

Well, Happy new year.

I remember Lie cheat and steal, but only just barely, and don't remember the rules of course.

I just wonder tho... Why we gotta wait till May for 2005 to be much better? How bout if it's much better from the get go? That's what I vote for.

I recall Lie Cheat and Steal as a pretty good game though I don't think we played it much. I seem to recall it being sort of like monopoly but the cards gave opportunities for chicanery.

I'm in favor of 2005 being a good year right outa the gate. There doesn't seem to be much sense in waiting for May or even January 12th for that matter. Of course I'm of the opinion that one year is pretty much like another until we add our own party favors so I recommend dandyin' this one up right away.

I hadn't really added it up until now, but I got like, 12 presents, but I'm not going to list them for fear of major jealousy. They were all really neato.

I had a lot of fun watching Dane Cook, playing Trivial Pursuit (the 90's edition) and the Couch Game. Seemed like most everyone else did too. But next year, people, the old person team MUST WIN. Rotten kids. I love how every year we spend like, 30 minutes preparing to play the couch game by arguing intensely over the rules, explaining the rules three different ways to the new people, and drawing names a couple of times because someone got left out. Don't you just love tradition?
