Some of you already know, but I meant to make an announcement a while back, that Haley is getting married! On June 4th, on the beach on South Padre Island. She is marrying Monroe Perez, a guy she's known for several years. In April Haley is going to go live in Edinburgh, Texas with Monroe's mom, and he'll live with a different relative, and then after they get married they're going to travel with the Rainbow gathering, which is a bunch of hippies, but they'll be with a group that ministers to the hippies. After that they'll live in Kansas City until they go to India . . . or maybe it's India first (with Youth With a Mission for training), and then back to Kansas City. Monroe is a great guy; sort of quiet, but funny. He got a deck of cards to play tricks with and entertained us all week with them. His family background is very interesting. I'll have to see about posting pictures on here . . . I think you have to pay for that or something now. If not we can always use my shutterfly account - anyone can go there and look at the pictures that me and Rachel and John posted. She'll be sending out invitations sometime, but it's going to be a very "Haley" wedding, so if you don't get one, don't gripe, just come anyway; everyone's invited of course. Josh and her friend Daniel are going to be bridesmaids, along with some of her other friends, and Ashley and her friend Kayci are going to be flower girls. 21 year old flower girls. =) It'll be interesting. Josh and I were in Wal-Mart tonight and I heard Haley laughing. She was there with her friend Kristy (maid of honor) and she was registering, so if you want to know what to get her, check Wal-Mart. It's a tradition, because the very first person I knew who registered there signed up for almost everything in the store that you could possibly put in a house including chip clips. I started my own forum for my wedding, it's www.voy.com/8586/ And it's got a "RIDE BOARD" section-- if you're going to the wedding, please post in that thread about how you intend/hope to get there. The object is to save everyone money by finding rides for people without cars, and having them pay the drivers for a fraction of the gas. There's also a few sections on there about dress code and misc.; you can post any other questions you have.. i'm going to keep updating it with information about hotel discounts in Edinburg, any other information you may need to know before you come down, like when the showers are, and whatever else. I'm working on invitations right now; but of course the entire family is invited and I expect you all to come unless death or disease is plaguing you. I may be able to help you out if the deciding factor in you attending the wedding is a question of money. Please let me know if you can come asap- I really want to see everyone there!
