No need to be shameful of yourself. Just be who you are. You are the one who spend money and keep them employed. If the store does not welcome your patronage, vote with your feet and spend elsewhere.

Sometime people working in retails can be very cruel (too young and too much stereotyping?). I had that once at the Bossini at Tsuen Wan MTR station 3 years ago when I was in HK. That girl was the only one like that in all the Bossini I had been to. Guess what, I insisted to try out the cloth and had it altered. She had no choice but took the order. Next time if that happen again, I will try and try and try the clothes, with no purchase, hehe.
