That part of your poem "One who cries in the darkness of her heart and sings in the light of her soul" I think describes us unicorns in this human world quite well. The meaning I got from it is since we are in a human body, our heart is simular to theirs, and a human heart isn't the lightest thing in the world, and we cry because of it. But we sing in joy because we are unicorns with the soul of a unicorn which is light and pure. Thats what I got from it.
