Yes! I am indeed back! Yeah. I missed a lot. But, I'll try and make up for that by putting *my* two cents in (look, I stole Anai's expression!)

Sounds to me, with my limited experience and few years, that this Dark River is trying to take advantage of you. I had an experience with an . . . unsavory character as well. She called herself Lightning, the queen of the unicorns, and my mother. It took a long time and a lot of hurt before I stopped relying on her in defineing myself. In the end, it was her attempts at trying to break up a relationship I was building with another (all of this was through mind-speech, by the way) before I finally *did* sever all connection with her. (keep in mind, that was the abbreviated version; Anai, you know the whole story) So, in the end, I didn't even know what to believe of what she told me, she might not even have been a unicorn, who knows? However, my point is, it's all to easy to lie; even through mind speech. Perhaps even especially through mind-speech; I suspect Lightning of having delved into my deepest thoughts, in order to tell me exactly what I so ached to hear. However, in the end, all that remains is to know your own heart. So, I would advise you to tread with caution, and take all you "hear" with a grain of salt. I don't know if Dark River has a reason for believing that the two of you were predesigned to be mates, but it's all to easy to lie to someone with little to no memory, and I would suggest finding out *why* he believes what he does.
