Subject: horse slaughter!!

first of all I would like to say that I love horses to death, I have my own, work on two different farms and i am studying to be a blacksmith. I am writting this message because I am so tired of seeing all these adds out there about stopping horse slaughter..... I bet that most of you people out there have never been to a stock yard and seen the livestock there. I have, and actually i go often to buy horses that look like they can be loved and then sold again to good homes. The thing that most people dont understand is that these are places that crippled and very badly ingered horses go to. The horses brought here are generally in very bad condition and in reallity they should be put out of misery, why not make use of them, why waste the meat??? we dont waste cows, and chickens, and all the other animals.... why waste horse meat? Keep in mind also that the individuals that run the stock yards are just trying to make a living, they are not monsters, they are not cruel, they are simply ordinary people trying to live. think about what you say before you say it, maybe before you talk about stopping horse slaughter you should go to a stock yard, talk to the people that work there, look at the livestock......... I know horses are incredible animals but why not use the meat from an animal that needs to be put down anyway? open your minds, go for a visit!
