I don't know about Glastonbury. I was talking about Greenbelt, a Christian festival, which certainly in my day was always a weekend. As was Spring Harvest.

And as most people in community now have outside jobs, anything that couldn't get done during a festival would affect employers rather than the fellowship.

No, I think financial and similar objections are red herrings. The simple fact is that those whose lives are most controlled in the JA are not free to associate with other Christians.
