Subject: The sin bin

Back in 1999, I attended a meeting where the ja had a sin bin, a place where you threw things from your past that you wanted to cast away, a kind of throwing away your last to give your life to noel and the ja.

Strangely today I finally threw away the last of my ja stuff, there was a nail on a piece of string that was given away to many people, as a symbol of the nail that kept Christ on the cross, I guess in a spiritual way, that nail kept us nailed to the ja.

I also threw awayy wooden red cross, I used to wear it all the time when visiting the ja, I think at the time it cost £2.99, the plastic ones were free, or you could buy more for a quid, strange it's taken nearly eleven years to dispose of this ridiculous item, I view it now as a kind of false talisman, at the time I thought wearing it was extremely serious.

I had also back then, a tee shirt, a kind of multicoloured affair, I wore that when painting a house, and then threw it away, i also had a Jesus people jumper, in a kind of wool, not quite fleece, again, at the time it was quite expensive, i still had it four years ago, I finally used it when spraying chemicals, and threw it away after, amazing what you keep, and what I paid for that stuff, I suppose the ja always was good at making money.

Throwing the cross and nail away was kind of like the ja sin bin, and was a big thing for a moment there, anyone else trying to move on, I suggest
you do the same, and throw your old cross, clothing and anything else away, as a kind of sin bin.

These days I still wear my cross, not an expensive item, but one that I never take off, whatever I am doing.

These crosses can be purchased for as little as £2, so if there is the need to wear one, you can, without still being tied
spiritually or mentally to the ja.
