that is absolutely right

Occasionally people moved from "Baptism and Community" into "baptism only" (old style membership structure), back when only a very tiny minority didn't live in community and they presumably felt that they were still "esteemed" by brethren, but the simple fact is that behind their backs they were ridiculed (by Noel too) for choosing to walk a backsliding route, while staying in the church.

This kind of two faced ridiculing also happened when brothers wanted to marry. They were always said to be choosing to marry because they weren't strong or righteous enouigh to walk the narrow way. It would always be implied that they just wanted to have sex and couldn't live a celibate life. Marriage (no matter what their literature says) was NOT esteemed. It was always called "the lower way"
