Subject: Earned my badge...and survived

I've been in this church on and off for 34 yr's... Been there done it and got the video in between. Talked to Pete E, read all the arguments and done all the human emotions... All i can say is.. GOD IS IN CONTROL. I went through awful times as a teen, did my time, and lived through it.. as alot of my friends, still close to me now.. But through all the things i thought were solutions, drink, drugs, sex, bulimia, anorexia, self harming... My God proved faithful. Not my upbringing, not the Jesus Army, not my parents.. but God. He proved he was real to me, not religion, but a personal experience. I could be Jane Cook now and have people blaming the church.. thought about suicide many a time. Also been very bitter towards church, but after all my "trying out the world".. I felt empty, and all i hurt was myself. I choose to go back, and i wouldn't change my world for the beckhams :) I choose to go to the Jesus Army, after being very hurt, i am not brainwashed or stupid..I just love a God who delivered me from a life of crap, and who i have a personal experience with.. I'm far from perfect and have to use my will not to return to a messed up person but that is my choice, and with free will i answer to God alone one day, not Jesus Army.. i just choose to be in a church that i have seen change, repent and admit where it went wrong. Its all about forgiveness and moving on.. We do it all the time as humans, why is it different in this case? God didn't screw up, Jesus Army didn't screw up.. INDIVIDUALS screwed up..

Pete E... I've heard it all :) not here to argue, just to say as before.. I'm grateful to a God you don't agree with.. lets agree to disagree..
Ps Jane Cook was an amazing woman, wife and mother.. whatever her involvment in JA please have respect..
