But you are not a child. I expect you to be able to handle disagreement and to deal with it if I express anger at things you say.

To speculate that that would make me a horrible teacher is not really genuine speculation at all. You are just doing it because you know that my profession will be passionately important to me, so you suggest I am a Hitler in the classroom in order to be hurtful.

It would hurt more if I trusted your judgement or, more importantly, if you actually knew me or had seen me teach. I wouldn't expect children I teach to be able to handle the level of reason, argument and critical analysis that goes on here, but then this is a forum for adults. You are an adult, remember, but you are reacting to me like a kid would.

If I need a therapist, I will get one who knows the difference.
