I wouldn't be at all surprised if Mick just ignored you, which reflects badly on him, not on you.

But there is another way to look at this, which is to bring things back on to the fellowship's current attitude to policies they had in the past regarding discipline.

I am currently talking to people on the Facebook page which was designed to counter Brian's, where an exchange is warming up.

In it there is a woman called Sarah who admits to having had an awful time growing up in the fellowship, but says she has forgiven them and gone back.

There is also a man called Ali who says that there is no way he would let anyone beat his children and says that "abuse" (not defined) went on in the past.

Both of them seem to think that the way ahead is to forgive, neither of them seem to think that the church should be accountable for the past and both seem to be comfortable being part of a church which has what Sarah concedes are dirty secrets.

Some here will say it looks like I like the sound of my own voice, so what I am keen to happen is for others here who are interested to come and put their points of view too. The JAs seem very reluctant to respond to me, so that those who do look swamped by my contributions. In the past, they wouldn't have posted AT ALL....so this is progress.
