Subject: Stern jumped the shark long ago

Forgive the diatribe here but while Artie sucks, he is not the reason for Stern's total creative implosion and utter lack of humor the last three years. While Jackie's departure was devastating as an underappreciated lynch pin in the formula that Stern had created and nurtured, Stern's show saw it's best days pass with the leaving of Billy West. True Stern afficianados know what I'm talking about and if you doubt the creative genius that West brought to the show, than try to answer why Stern wanted Billy to return following Jackie's passing. Billy challenged Stern and made him laugh. His creative genius and peerless impersonations made Stern hysterical and quite uncomfortable. West's affinity for launching into amazing ad libs and driving celebrities and sensitive listeners nuts with his Marge Schott and Red the Sailor impersonations, made for the greatest and most hysterical radio in history. After Jackie left the ship had already taken on so much water there was no saving it. Stern's supernova ego wouldn't permit a talanted comic addition that he couldn't contain (read Billy West) so, in the most desperate efforts, he grabbed Lange. Aside from kissing Stern's ass and retreating to a terrible hindu or redneck accent, has Lange added anything to the show. This coked out Mad TV (SNL backwash) has been is so devoid of humor that it's embarrassing listening to him. Unfortunately what Artie lacks in comic talent he overshadows with a complete a total lack of backbone. Unable or unwilling to do anything other than suck butt nuggets out of his master's ass, Artie showcases, on a daily basis, his only true talent...shameless sycophancy. Don't beat up Artie too much, if he wasn't blowing velvet kisses up the ass of the thin skinned, uber maniacal Stern, he'd be blowing Johns for coke money. So go ahead Howch, you can blame the FCC all you want (how convenient) but the truth is you've sucked for years and you know it. You're burnt out and you have nothing new to bring to radio. What's a matter? You keep recycling the same bored, tired and played out shit. Don't believe me? It's the same old thing: hot girl, never skinny enough or young enough for your tastes Mr.50 and you talk about what you'd do to her...blah blah blah. Beth O...whatever. Only sucks your dick cause a dollar bill is attached. For the sake of all the true fan's who remember and loved you when you actually had a show that made us laugh...please quit now. Just spare us the whiny bullshit of blaming your show's boredom on an FCC mandate. You blow. End of story.
