I'm just curious why my 3 year old chinchilla is dead. we kept food and water dishes full, he had a dust bath everyother day, he had a stick to chew on, hay to eat, his teeth were fine, he wasn't bloated, his stool was normal, his coat was in great condition, he didn't have any discharge anywhere, and he got along fine with his brother. We made sure he was in good temp/humidity, and cleaned the cage every two weeks. When we found him he looked like he was sleeping peacefully in his hut. He had been perfectly fine the day before, any ideas?
