Yes, he is qualified. I have no qualm about that, Norman. But do you think that he is more qualified to serve in that position than Mrinalini Mata, Brother Bhaktananda or Brother Anandamoy, all direct disciples of Paramahansa Yogananda? Have they all been designated but declined the position?

He is the next in line, Norman. Ask any monastic. Don't you get it? He has always been the main man. From SRF vs. Ananda to the quiet exit of Brother Arjunananda to SRF vs. Erskine to the Convo to retreats to visits, etc.

I made a quick Google search on "Brother Vishwananda" and found out that he even represented Daya Mata in a women's affair http://www.selfrealizationfellowship.org/srf_news/pryr-brkfst.html That is how official his representation is. They could have gotten a senior nun to represent her.

Even Kriyananda is aware of it See Article.

I am not in any way saying that this is a wrong decision. Who am I to say such a thing? I am just thinking aloud, asking if anybody here knows anything exceptional about this particular Brother.
