Subject: Update - Time traveller story a hoax

Some time ago I mentioned the reported arrest of Andrew Carlssin, a stockmarket trader who had turned $800 into $350 Million by uncannily shrewd trading. When questioned on suspicion of insider trading Mr Carlssin had claimed to be a time traveller from the year 2256.

The US Securities and Exchange Commision received so many enquiries about this story that they were obliged to issue a statement on their website denying any knowledge of the subject.

It seems the story had first appeared in a tabloid called the Weekly World News, which is not known for the accuracy of its reporting. The story was then republished by Yahoo and many other news services, who apparently did not realise it was meant to be tongue in cheek.

A great pity, but if anyone here has any other ideas on how to turn $800 into $350 million in a few weeks, feel free to share them with everyone else.
