This is SUCH an important passage .
Of course SRF is going to make mistakes,
of course some of the leading monastics are
going to cause scandals and of course there are going to be power struggles,THERE IS
NOT ONE SACRED TRADITION IN THE WORLD WHICH HAS NOT SUFFERED
THESE VERY HUMAN DEFECTS,NOT ONE.
But SRF,whatever is said about them, whatever UNAVOIDABLE human faults they house, give access to Yogananda's Yoga teachings in undiluted form.
We are so fortunate to have this gift.We have the liberty to develop a personal UNMEDIATED relationship with Yogananda
despite all the the warnings from our more
traditionalist brethren that we need a guru
in a physical body. This so effectively does
away with the unhelpful additions of the
less enlightened successors who replace the guru.NONE of the presidents have EVER claimed to be gurus ,whatever their faults.
Yes, SRF does ask for a pledge of loyalty,
but it is PATENTLY obvious that this is a
request for a gesture of single mindedness which is vital to ANY serious life decision
LOVE BOB
