Subject: Yogananda on Kechari Mudra

I noticed the thread on Kechari Mudra below, but didn't see anything from Yogananda about Kechari. I post this, not for the sake of starting an argument or proving anything- but simply to share a passage that is one of the very few times that Yogananda is on record as mentioning Kechari, and in the context of Kriya Yoga.

This is from the book 'Mejda', by Sananda Lal Ghosh. This is near the back of the book, where Sananda Lal Ghosh has transcribed some talks that he heard Yogananda give.

"While practicing Kriya, when the mind becomes enchanted in listening to nada, the sound of Aum, a divine nectar-like current flows from the sahasrara. Through the performance of Kechari Mudra, touching the tip of the tongue to the uvula or "little tongue," (or placing it in the nasal cavity behind the uvula), that divine life-current draws the prana from the senses into the spine and directs it up through the chakras to Vaishvanara (Universal Spirit), uniting the consciousness with Spirit. The entire body is thereby spiritualized and energized. As a result, a perceptible glow may emanate from the body."
