Anyone who has spent more than a couple hours on the SRF Walrus website knows that it is was started, and is run, by former SRF monastics and members. I invite you to spend some time there.

The following sections will make it more clear that this is so. You will also see that there are many different voices- some with anger and resentment over their SRF monastic experience, and some who feel love and compassion for those still inside the organization.

There is much more there- about thirty different sections in all. If you are an SRF member, be aware that you'll find much that is disturbing. You will also find much that is heart-opening.

You can also email the Walrus administrator if you're interested in learning more about who the people are on that message board, though you probably won't get any actual names. Many there are quite worried about the consequences of revealing their identities.
