That River was shooting completely blind and took down all three snipers in the space of about 5 seconds.

So it would appear that there was some method to the madness that was her time spent in goverment hands.And since you missed the last few minutes of the show,you most likely missed the preview for next week,where a bounty hunter slips on board looking for a big paycheck in the form of one of the Serenity crew.It's not clear who his target is but....

I almost feel sorry for the guy now.
