I'm calmer now. But I'm still furious. What were they thinking? "We'll put that upstart Whedon in his place?"

Why spend all the money they obviously spent on the 2-hour pilot, which was superior to probably 90% of the first-run theatrical films I've seen in the passed ten years, just to throw it away, and the rest of the series with it?

Y'know, some stupidities just rankle a helluva lot more than others...
