Yeah, I'm picking that up too. Would love it if the show goes there, though that would be one incredibly unstable relationship.

Jayne does really have an ambiguous vibe. In Jaynestown, he's practically cuddling with those two mudders, the guy and the gal. (Such a friendly drunk.) He comes downstairs with the girl the next morning, but it's the guy gives his life to protect Jayne. And the thug's pretty upset about it. Yes, there are other explanations, but I like mine best.
